What is Michigan Lottery ?

The first instant game ticket was bought on October 7, 1975. The Daily 3 game, which was first released on June 6, 1977, marked the beginning of terminal-based games. On August 13, 1984, the first “Michigan Lotto” game was released. On August 31, 1996, the first The Big Game (now Mega Millions) ticket was sold. The Michigan Lottery has contributed more than $20.7 billion to the School Aid Fund since it began.

The Michigan Lottery provides a variety of games with various game modes, including:

(1) Daily 3 and Daily 4:
A player must choose a three-digit or four-digit number that exactly matches the number drawn in order to win. Players have the option to box their numbers; doing so results in a lower payout if the winning number’s digits are matched in any order.
(2) Fantasy 5 + ezMatch:
On September 12, 2004, Fantasy 5 launched, taking the place of Rolldown. Players choose 5 numbers between 1 and 39. Each day, drawings are held with jackpots starting at $100,000. If there isn’t a jackpot winner, Fantasy 5 jackpots increase by a minimum of $5,000 each drawing. There is a 1 in 575,757 chance of winning the jackpot. Additionally, players win when 4 ($100), 3 ($10), or at least 2 ($1) numbers match. The results of Fantasy 5 are displayed on the Michigan Lottery Show each night. The game “ezMatch” is available separately from the nightly draw and can be bought and played that way. With prizes ranging from $2 to $500, the game is an instant game that can be played on a terminal.
(3) Lotto 47 + ezMatch:
Lotto 47 was launched on May 15, 2005, to replace Winfall. From 1 to 47, players choose six numbers (hence the name). There are twice-weekly Lotto 47 drawings, with jackpots starting at $1 million. There is a 1 in 11 million chance of winning the jackpot. Players may also win by matching 5 (for $2,500), 4 (for $100), or at least 3 (for $5) numbers. “ezMatch” is a Lotto 47 add-on game similar to Fantasy 5. The prizes are the same as those from Fantasy 5’s ezmatch.
(4) Double Play:
The Michigan Lottery unveiled an add-on feature for the Fantasy 5 and Lotto 47 games in January 2019. Players can enter a second drawing for just $1 more and try again to match their numbers. The chances of winning the grand prizes are equal.

(5) Poker Lotto:
Poker Lotto has an instant win component and is drawn every day. Only one Poker Lotto play will be printed on a ticket, and each play costs $2. Each ticket is a quick pick game with five card symbols; playing does not require any card knowledge or skill. If the card symbols on a player’s ticket match a specific winning hand from the prize structure, they can win right away at the time of purchase. $5,000 is the maximum award for an instant win. The nightly drawing’s grand prize is $100,000. Players can also win at the nightly drawings by matching 4 ($500), 3 ($25), or at least 2 ($3) cards.
ii) In-house Club Games
Club Games, which were introduced in 2003, are primarily found in social settings like bars, restaurants, and bowling alleys. They include the Club Keno game and pull-tabs.
(1) Club Keno:
Players of Club Keno can select up to 10 numbers from a possible 80. The Lottery selects 20 numbers, with results shown on television screens three and a half minutes apart. The top prize is $100,000; wagers range from $1 to $20. 2010 saw the introduction of Club Keno to every retailer in the state.
(2) Pull-tabs:
Pull-tab games are similar to “scratch-off” games, with top prizes ranging from $1,000 to $25,000. A player pulls perforated tabs rather than scratching a ticket.
(3) Keno!:
Players of the 1990-born game Keno! choose 10 of the available 80 numbers. The daily drawings involve the selection of 22 numbers. A player wins $250,000 for matching 10 numbers. Money can also be won by players who match 9, 8, 7, or 6 numbers. As an alternative to a free Keno! play, there is also a prize for matching zero numbers, which is a $1 scratch ticket. iii) Multi-Jurisdictional Games
