Christina Applegate is speaking up about having multiple sclerosis and why it was crucial to her to finish the critically acclaimed show "Dead to Me."

The 50-year-old actress spoke before the third and final season of her Netflix series debuted later this month.

Throughout the summer of 2021 while filming, Applegate discussed what it was like to learn that she had MS.

Production ceased at that time for about five months while she started receiving therapy for the autoimmune condition that affects the central nervous system.

There was an attitude of, "Let's get her some medicine so she can get better," according to Applegate.

There is no better, either. But I found it beneficial. I needed to process losing my life and that aspect of myself. "I thus required that time," she added.

Even deeper in the past, she remembered how she first started having balance and movement problems while filming the first season of "Dead to Me."
